THERESA SANDIN

Theresa "Terri" Sandin, of Isle, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, at home, of natural causes. She was 69 years old.

Terri was born in Denver, Colorado on April 6, 1956. Terri grew up on the family farm and attended Longmont High School. She moved to Minnesota in 1976 and lived in Anoka before moving to Isle where she continued to live on a farm in 1978. She loved all her birds, especially her peacocks. Terri was also pursuing her A.A. Degree in Liberal Arts from Pine Technical and Community College.

She had a significant other of James Andrews for over 40 years, and they were known to be extremely dedicated to each other.

Terri was a cook at the Dala Café in Mora, then Ozzie's Restaurant in Isle, bartender at Isle Municipal and Wakon Inn before she found her dream job at Someday Isle, a crafts shop in Isle. She weaved rugs, made paper from Monarch butterfly pods, pottery and general clerical sales assistance. She was very creative and loved crafting. She was also an amateur geologist and possessed many, many various stones.

She was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2021 and dealt with it through treatment for the remainder of her life. She fought it bravely and finally succumbed to it on March 15, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight Sandin and Kathleen Sandin.

She is survived by her life partner, James Andrews; daughters, Christine Noack (Dake), Joanna Dake, Marya Sandin; son, Joshua James Dake; granddaughters, Shakima James, Alana James, Danielle Belanger (Noack); grandsons, Derek Noack, Jovon James, Kenneth James; great-granddaughter, Elsie Belanger of Minnesota; brothers and sisters, Bill Sandin, Linda Sandin, Dale Sandin, Judy Sandin; and numerous nieces and nephews in Colorado.

We loved her very much. All who had the opportunity to know her will miss her deeply.
