Theresa Ann Spivey

  Theresa Ann McMahon Spivey, 76, of Weatherford, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the South Main Church of Christ, in Weatherford, with burial following at the Tin Top Cemetery. Family visitation is Friday, March 21, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.

  Theresa was born on February 19, 1949, in Weatherford. She graduated from Weatherford High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Abilene Christian University in 1970 and a Master’s in Education from Texas Christian University. Theresa married Dean Spivey on December 21, 1968.

  After 37 years of service, Theresa retired from Weatherford High School in 2006. Theresa was an active member of South Main Church of Christ. Theresa enjoyed volunteering within her church, the community, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Dean Spivey; her father, Robert Lee McMahon; her mother, Gusta Collins McMahon; and her brother, Robert Lee McMahon, Jr.; and survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Chris Hibbetts of Plano, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Toby and Tara Spivey of Plano, Texas; and four grandchildren, Tyler and Sydney Hibbetts, and Tatum and Townsend Spivey.
