Therese Jones Anderson, 57, of Stuart Street, Staunton, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She was born on April 27, 1954, in Waynesboro, Virginia, to Reese Sr. and Jean (Howard) Jones. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and retired from Western State Hospital in Nursing Services. She was a member of Beverly Manor Baptist Church and served as Financial Secretary of the church and was a member of several choirs. She was a member of the Christian Women Fellowship Ministries. She was preceded in death by her father; one brother, Larnell Howard. Left to cherish her memories are, mother, Jean Jones of the residence; two brothers, Clinton Jones and wife, Rita, of Staunton, Virginia, and Reese Jones, Jr. and wife, Terry, of Goose Creek, South Carolina; two sisters, Tricky Moore and husband, Joseph, and Priscilla Rucker, both of Staunton, Virginia; seven devoted nieces, Cammie Bryant, Taiwan, Keisha, Kendra, Randi, and Noelle Jones, and Tasha Crawford; three devoted nephews, Jackie Jones, Joe Moore, and Marcel Douglas; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Therese will always be remembered as a very loving, kind and good-hearted person. A memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Beverly Manor Baptist Church. Inurnment will be at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in memory of Therese Jones Anderson to Beverly Manor Baptist Church Pledge Fund, 436 Jefferson Highway, Staunton, VA 24401.
