Therese Suze Baptiste

Therese Suze Jean-Baptiste "Tidi", 71, of Dacula, passed away on August 5, 2025. Suze was born on October 3, 1953 in Bucan Richard, Department of Gonaives, Haiti. She was a sister, aunt, great aunt and a friend. She leaves behind her brother and sisters, Joseph Jean, Carmel Dieudonne, Madeleine Laverdure and Edeline Previlon. She is predeceased by her parents, Francois Armand Jean-Baptiste & Clercilia Francoise Damour, brothers, Hubert Jean-Baptiste, Nicholas Jean-Baptiste, Claubert Jean and her sister, Elda Jean-Baptiste. Suze also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, as well as many cherished friends who all loved her dearly. Suze graduated from Institution La Ronde in 1970. After this, Suze served as an elementary teacher. Suze also had a clothing alteration/tailoring business where she enhanced clothing for her clients. In 1984, she traveled to Montreal, Canada with Jeunesse en Mission. In 1986, Suze met her sister Madeleine, in Spring Valley, New York. In 1986, Suze left Haiti to start a new life abroad in Spring Valley, New York. Suze pursued diverse opportunities. Suze had a desire to interact with people in regards to self-care, fashion and being creative. She fueled those interests with careers in companies like Avon, Joann Fabrics, Macy's and Crossmark. Suze served at Grace Baptist Church in Nanuet, New York, Hebron Baptist Church and Home Church in Dacula, Georgia. She was recently working on writing a Haitian recipe book and enjoyed talking about her grand nephews and nieces.
