Therese Gibes Obituary
Loving mother of Rita Gibes (Larry) Grossman and Richard (Debbie) Gibes and beloved grandmother of Leah and Jenna Grossman and Carmen (Nick) Geers. She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings. A beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews, she was the matriarch of the family for many years.
A retired nurse, a tireless volunteer for her parish, Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, and a caring, dear friend and neighbor to many, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at the Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, 23720 Farmington Rd, downtown Farmington, on Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM.
Instate on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23815 Power Road, Farmington from 9:30 AM until the funeral liturgy which begins at 10:00 AM.
Interment will take place at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Pellston, Michigan.
Memorial donations may be made to Angela Hospice, the American Heart Association or Mother and Unborn Baby Care.

Aunt Therese was a beloved Aunt. The small things she did for us meant so much. My favorite memories were family dinners at her house. She knew how much I loved her homemade dinner rolls so she would always make extra so I could take some home. She paid attention to us little kids. She made us feel so important. As an adult with my own kids, she treated my kids the same way. She had a special gift of loving us unconditionally.
