Robert Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home - Farmington on Mar. 16, 2026.
Robert W. "Bob" Davis, age 72, passed away on March 16, 2026. Bob was a beloved brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend who touched many lives through his kindness, humor, and lifelong dedication to helping others.

Born in Lansing on November 18, 1953, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a radio operator. Following his military service, he attended Central Michigan University, beginning a career that would span more than 40 years in the television and broadcast industry.

Bob worked as a technician and cameraman for a variety of television and cable companies, including Continental Cablevision. He was highly respected by colleagues for his skill, professionalism, and the pride he took in his work. Bob had a unique ability to work behind the scenes, always focused on making others look their best and ensuring everything ran smoothly.

He eventually made his home in Novi, where he built a life centered around family, faith, and community.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved partner and the love of his life, Sue Albee; his parents, June Davis and Richard Davis; and his sister, Virginia Davis.

He leaves behind three cherished grandchildren, Claire, Quinn, and Bennet; Sue's children, Jennifer (Jake) and Jim, who became family to him; his loving sisters, June O'Hara (Tim) and Susan Davis; his nephews, Jeff Davis and Tim O'Hara; his nieces, Katie VonBroock and Megan O'Hara; and his great-nephews, Braedan O'Hara, Jackson Davis, Mason Davis, and Greyson Davis.

Bob was a devoted fan of the Detroit Tigers and a dedicated volunteer at Nardin Park United Methodist Church, where he developed many close friendships and a strong sense of community. The Nardin Park community highly valued his technical and electronic expertise.

He will be remembered for a life defined by service. Whether through his work, his volunteer efforts, or simply helping family with projects, Bob was always ready to lend a hand. He especially loved showing up to support his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews-attending events, cheering them on, and taking pride in their accomplishments.

Bob's legacy is one of kindness, humility, and unwavering support for the people he loved. Those who knew him will remember a quiet man who showed his love through service, loyalty, and always being there when it mattered most.

In lieu of customary remembrances, contributions are kindly suggested to Nardin Park United Methodist Church.

Family and friends may gather at Nardin Park United Methodist Church in Farmington Hills to celebrate Bob's life on Saturday, March 21st. Bob's family will receive guests beginning at 10 am and his memorial ceremony will commence at 11:00 am. A luncheon in Nardin's Mercer Hall will follow the ceremony.
