THOMAS M. ABDOW, age 74; father of Kristen Rodkey (Eric), Meredith De Guire (Justin) and Victoria Lewis (Jon); grandfather of Anne De Guire, Nicolaus De Guire, Michael Rodkey (deceased), Charlotte Rodkey, Lucy "Goose" De Guire, Ben Rodkey, Raegan Lewis and Robbie Lewis; son of the late Ernest and Margaret Abdow; sister of the late Karen Herzberger (Fred); uncle of Gretchen Herzberger; friend of many.
Thomas "Tom" Abdow of Brooklyn, Ohio passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024. Tom was a devoted Cleveland sports fan and an even bigger fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. His Saturdays in the fall were religiously reserved for cheering on his beloved team, a tradition he shared passionately with his children and grandchildren.
Tom was an avid sports enthusiast, with a special fondness for both golf and bowling. While his golf game was a source of humor amongst friends, he was a skilled and enthusiastic bowler who enjoyed the camaraderie and competition of the lanes.
Known as the life of the party, Tom had an infectious energy that brightened every room. His humor, warmth, and generosity endeared him to everyone he met. Whether it was a social event or a casual get-together, Tom's presence always meant there would be laughter and good times.
Tom also had a profound love for travel and fine dining. His tales of adventure and the photographs that captured them were treasured stories he loved to share with family and friends.
Above all, Tom adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment he spent with them. He was a constant source of encouragement, support, and love, attending their sporting games and milestones with boundless pride.
Tom's vibrant spirit and zest for life will be dearly missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
