Thomas Ablett Obituary
Thomas was born July 27, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of the late William Schubert and Mary Louise Gobal. He was employed at R.J. Reynolds as a sales representative for 30 years and at FedEx as a HAZMAT specialist for 27 years before his retirement. Thomas was married October 25, 1991 to Phyllis Harper Ablett and he was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Cordova, Tennessee. He was a handyman and the "security mayor" of Rossville – always walking the neighborhood and keeping an eye on things. He will be remembered for being a hard worker who enjoyed golfing. He was a Veteran of the Army National Guard.
Mr. Ablett is survived by his wife of 32 years, Phyllis Ablett; three daughters, Shelly (Wendall), Kristie (Mike) and April (Tony); six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Ablett.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude’s Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or LeBonheur Children's Hospital, 848 Adams Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103.
Arrangement will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center and condolences may be left on our online guestbook at www.PeeblesFuneralHome.com.
