Thomas Ray Albers, age 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at his home in St. Helen, MI surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 23, 1948, in Highland Park, MI, to Raymond and Arline (Koontz) Albers. After Arline passed away at an early age, Tom was raised and loved by Ray and Marge Albers. His life was one marked by a deep devotion to family, a passionate engagement with the outdoors, and an unwavering commitment to his work and faith.

In 1968, Tom married Dana Harrington at the Hale Baptist Church in Hale, MI.

Tom's education began at Warren High School, setting the foundation for a life dedicated to hard work and perseverance. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1973, where he learned discipline and camaraderie that would stay with him long after his service. After his military service, he embarked on a successful career at Franklin Forge, where he worked diligently until his retirement. Following that chapter, he found joy in caretaking a hunting lodge, combining his love for nature with his hard-earned skills.

In all that he did, Tom Albers loved the Lord and dedicated his heart to his family. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in West Branch, MI

Those who knew Tom understand that he was never truly alone; he shared every adventure with his beloved wife of 56 years, Dana. Together, they created countless memories, exploring their passion for camping, hunting, and fishing. Their bond was a testament to true partnership, demonstrating how two can thrive as one in both the easy moments and the challenges of life.

As a family man, Tom's proudest accomplishments were centered around his children and grandchildren. He took immense pride in his daughters, Tina (Mark) Smith, Karen (Fred) Thorne, and Kim Young, instilling in them the values of love, faith, and resilience. His legacy extends through his cherished grandchildren: Trevor (Nicole), Jessica (Drew), Ethan, and Aliyah, and great grandchildren: Lainey, Lilah, and Jayden. Each moment spent with them was dear to Tom's heart, reflecting his deep love and pride for his growing family.

Tom was also survived by his siblings, Linda Vincent, Myles (Pat) Holzschuh, Jenny (Mike) Duffy, Ray Albers, Liz (Joe) Higgins, Dorothy Maynarich, and Donald (Stacie) Albers.

He is preceded in death by his parents and Marge Albers. Their influence resonated throughout his life, fostering the man he became—a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather.
