Thomas Lee "Tom" Babin

Thomas Lee "Tom" Babin, currently residing in Lonsdale, Minnesota former longtime resident of Savage, Minnesota, passed away on October 20, 2025, at the age of 71.
A private interment will be held for Tom at Fort Snelling National Cemetery Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Tom was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Howard and Lois (McEwen) Babin. He was raised in Savage and was a graduate of the Burnsville High School class of 1972. Tom served in the U.S. Navy from 1974 – 1980.
After the Navy Tom resided in Savage and worked for Data Control, then Seagate and later served as a service tech for Olson Chain and Cable.
In retirement Tom enjoyed a slower pace of living and found his home in Lonsdale, MN. He truly loved living there where he could savor the small-town life. He showed extraordinary kindness by helping neighbors in need and made it a point to support "the little guys" by frequenting and supporting local small businesses as often as possible.
Tom was a kind and generous soul. He loved his family and made it a point to keep in touch with frequent calls. He also enjoyed several social activities; he especially he loved to get out and play Bingo, often playing five days a week at various venues. He volunteered with the Special Olympics for more than 30 years and was a faithful member of the Eagles Club in
Northfield as well as the American Legion in Savage and Lonsdale--often putting in long volunteer hours for these organizations.
Tom is survived by his siblings, Beth (Glenn) Grob, Scott Babin, John (Sheila) Babin, Sr., Julie (Mark) Babin-Ramey; and his brother-in-law, Kerry Kline, four nieces and three Nephews, and longtime girlfriend Rosie Krejce.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lois Babin, and his sister, Joan Babin-Kline.
