Thomas Bacot

Thomas Arthur Bacot, age 86 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2024. Thomas was born March 19, 1938 in Rotan, Texas. Tommy spent 4yrs int the Navy, active duty and 20 yrs in the reserves where he retired as a Flight Engineer in 1993. After his active duty ended in 1960, he worked briefly in the Oil Fields, and then went to work in the Missile silo's in Abilene. He and his wife left Abilene in the late 60's where he went to work for a govt contractor at NASA. He enjoyed his time at NASA and was genuinely liked by those who worked with him and for him. He retired after 30+ yrs at NASA. His hobbies included hunting and riding motorcycles. Thomas is preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Bacot; parents Vernon and Bertha Bacot; brother Vernon Bacot.
Thomas is survived by his son, Wayne Bacot and wife Erin.
A visitation will be held Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Scott Funeral Home from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. A graveside service will be Monday, August 12, 2024 at 4:00PM at Confederate Cemetery.
