Funeral services for Thomas L. "Red" Bamburg of Columbia, will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 31, 2024, from the sanctuary of Bethany Baptist Church with Bro. John Godwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia. The Bamburg family will receive visitors on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.

Tommy was born on July 12, 1944,  to the union of Thomas William Bamburg and Florence Ada Ellis and he passed from this life on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia following an extended illness Tommy was an avid sportsman and houndsman. He was a Christian and loved to witness to others.  He served as Chaplain of the Caldwell Correctional Facility after he retired with Diamond M Drilling Company. He also worked in private security.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; by his son, Airman First Class Thomas W. Bamburg, and a host of siblings.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Penny Williams (Dave) of Hebert and Melissa Lofton of New Hampshire; his sons: Scott Bamburg (Nicia) of Benton, LA, Adam Bamburg (Nikki) of Natchitoches, and Gayland Perry (Sunny) of Mangham; five step-sons: Kenny Duchesne, Heath Duchesne, Shane Nugent, Johnny Hatten and Devon Hatten; his sister, Helen Foster (Buddy) of Monroe, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimbo Emmons, Danny Ray Emmons, Bubba Flores, Greg Black, Logan Edwards, and Jarrod Flores.
