Thomas E. Barnhart, CPA of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 at the age of 71. Beloved husband for over 50 years to Carla M. Barnhart; cherished son of the late Ralph and Katherine Barnhart. Devoted father of Brian E. Barnhart, Bridget A. (William E.) Linde, and Jeffrey C. (Tiffany) Barnhart; loving grandfather of Michael, Renae, Aurora and many granddogs. Dear brother of Patricia (Dudley) Edgemon, Shirley Bauche, and James (Mary) Barnhart; beloved uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom was a Devout Catholic and a member of Immaculate Conception in Dardenne Prairie, Mo. He cherished spending time with his family the most and always put their needs before his own. He was a humble and practical man who enjoyed working with his clients and providing sound advice outside of work, even to those who didn't necessarily want to hear it. Tom worked very hard until he retired at the end of 2017 and passed his work ethic onto his family, whom he was very proud of. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed visiting with others and fishing with family, friends, and clients who became friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Tom's name to JDRF, Mid-America Transplant or American Heart Association.
