Thomas Bartlett-Svehla Obituary

Formerly of Brookfield, Thomas and his wife, Dorothy have been living in Mundelein for the past 35 years. He was a graduate of Illinois State University and received his law degree from Chicago-Kent College in Chicago. He was a retired commercial real estate and contracting lawyer for multiple firms.
Thomas was a member, former deacon, and elder at First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville. He enjoyed reading, politics, traveling, and his dogs, Keegan, Rowan, and Danny Boy.
Surviving is his wife Dorothy Bartlett-Svehla; brother Richard (Jan Hayes) Svehla; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey and Ellen Svehla, and Wesley, Matthew, and Claire Bartlett.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Elenore Svehla.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Service at 2:00p.m. on Wednesday,
November 29, 2023, First Presbyterian Church, 219 W. Maple Ave., Libertyville, IL 60048.
Memorials in Thomas' name may be made for the Brookfield Zoo at www.czs.org.

I have fond memories of walking the dogs at Lakewood and Prairie Wolf off-leash parks. Many a delightful walk and Tom always had a story to tell.
