Thomas M. Baum, 77, of Antwerp, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.
Tom was born in Columbus on February 13, 1948, a son of the late Anna (Oberconz) & Dale Baum.
Tom was a hardworking man who spent many years as a lineman and field engineer. On August 16, 1980, he married the love of his life, Patty (Stephens), and together they shared countless loving years filled with laughter, devotion, and cherished memories. Tom had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, especially when he was fishing or hunting, and he found peace in life’s simple moments—like watching the sun rise each morning. He loved country music, was rarely seen without a Halls cough drop in his pocket, and held a steadfast love for his country, always standing tall when the National Anthem played. Known for his sense of humor, kindness, and generosity, Tom’s greatest joy was his family, whom he loved deeply and wholeheartedly.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Patty; children, Tammy Moore, Thomas Baum II, Wendell Gundy, & Mathew Gundy; siblings, Carol (John) Bircher & Debbie (Steve) McCoy; 7 grandchildren, & 9 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his sister Janet (Jim) McCoy & Ann Marie (Bill) Holt
