Vaughn E. Franklin, 90 of Antwerp, Ohio passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
Vaughn was born in Latty, Ohio on January 12, 1936, a of the late Treva (Offill) and Everett Franklin.
He retired from Dana Weatherhead after 41 years of service. Vaugh was truly dedicated to his family. Vaughn will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He thoroughly enjoyed attending sporting events for his grandchildren. Vaughn was a tractor enthusiast, holding memberships in the Tri State Tractor Club and Flat Rock Creek Tractors Club.
Vaughn will be sadly missed by his children, Melinda (Tim) Peffley, Kathleen (Joe) Smalley, Susan (Steve) Arnold, Janean (John) Shannon, Alan (Rinda), Greg (Carol), Steve (Marsha) & Jeff; 25 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren with one on the way and one great great grandson.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen (Derck), to whom he was married married June 18, 1955 and siblings, Treva (Richard) Bell and Floyd, Rex and Larry Franklin.
Viewing is Tuesday, March 31st, 4 PM to 7 PM with the Rosary recited at 7 PM at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp.
Vaughn's Mass of Christian Burial is Wednesday, April 1st, 10:30 AM at Saint Michael's Catholic Church, 100 Antwerp Drive, Hicksville, Ohio. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH AT 10:15 AM)
He will be laid to rest in Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
