Passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Tom was the son of Thomas Beacon and the late Judith Beacon. Trained as a Journeyman Machinist, he later built a distinguished career as a Senior Mechanical Designer, dedicating his life's work to excellence, quality, and precision.
Known for his generosity, kindness, and caring nature, Tom touched the lives of all who knew him. Adventurous at heart and deeply connected to nature, he loved exploring new places and treasured every moment spent with his family. A true hands-on problem solver, he was admired for his intelligence, creativity, dependability, and loving spirit.
Tom is survived by his devoted wife, Doris; his beloved son, Marcus; his father, Thomas; his sister, Becky (Tom); his brother, David (Meaghan); and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to honor Tom's spirit of generosity by making a donation to your favorite charity or by simply helping someone in need-just as Tom so often did.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
In keeping with Tom's wishes, there will be no funeral service, as he preferred to keep things simple.
