Thomas Beidl Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Svcs., Ltd. - Bakerstown on Mar. 6, 2026.
Thomas E. Beidl, of Gibsonia (formerly of Plum), passed away on March 4 2026.

He was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His career unfolded during the thriving years of the steel industry in the 1980s and 1990s, where he worked for several companies and earned the respect of colleagues through his skill, reliability, and integrity. Even after retiring from engineering, he kept himself busy with odd jobs and projects until the birth of his youngest grandson, when he happily stepped into full-time babysitter.

He had a gift for storytelling and salesmanship, able to spin a tale so convincingly that you were never quite sure where the truth ended and the embellishment began. Whether he was recounting an adventure from his younger days or negotiating the finer points of a deal, he did it with humor, charm, and a twinkle in his eye. And when the day wound down, he loved nothing more than settling in with a cold Budweiser and watching wrestling-simple pleasures that brought him real joy.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Diane (Traficante); his children John Tenerowicz and Holly (Christopher) Trudeau; and his grandchildren Joshua (Alena) Tenerowicz, Brian (Erin) Tenerowicz, and Jacob Trudeau. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love, humor, and the stories he told-true or not-will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Services will be private.

Arrangements by Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, PA. Please leave condolences at www.schellhaasfh.com.

Couldn't ask for a better neighbor or friend. Tom was one of my best friends when we lived next to each other. Lenora and I send our sincerest sympathies to Diane and the entire family. Distance prevents us from paying our respects in person
