Thomas Bluitt Obituary

Tom was born on March 25, 1954 in Manhattan, New York, to the late John and Julia (Cleary) Bluitt. Tom and Ruthann Christy were united in marriage on September 30, 1978, at St. Catherine's in Algonac. She preceded him in death on February 23, 2019. Tom worked as a Merchant Seaman for over 30 years. He enjoyed talking about Maritime History, Golfing, the New York Yankees, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his daughters: Kelly Bluitt, Christy (Michael) Heintz, grandchildren: Finlay Bluitt, Sawyer Harp, Harrison and Henry Heintz, and Isadora Bluitt, and his siblings: Jack Bluitt, Kevin (Theresa) Bluitt, Michele Bluitt, Agnes Bluitt, Marie (John) Fields, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Tommy Bluitt, and his brothers: Brian Bluitt, Kerry Bluitt, and Andrew Bluitt.
Cremation has taken place. A gathering will take place at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach.
