Thomas A. Boggs

Thomas A. Boggs, 62, of Elyria passed away after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center. Thomas was born on June 8, 1963, in Elyria to Clyde and Reva (nee Bennett) Boggs.

Thomas graduated from Elyria High School, class of 1980. He faithfully served in the US Army from 1983-1989. He worked as a truck mechanic for the Jonick Truck Company, Lorain, for over 10 years.

Thomas was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Lorain as well as the American Legion Post 12 of Elyria.

He enjoyed fixing cars and motorcycles, working on the computer and spending time with family.

Thomas is survived by children Nathan A. Boggs of Elyria and Ashley N. Boggs of Colorado; siblings Clyde Boggs Jr (Diana) of Monroeville, Williams Boggs (the late Lori) of Grafton and Joyce Boggs of Louisville, KY; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Reva Boggs and sister Debra Oldenberg.

Visitation hours will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 3-4pm, at the Busch Funeral Home 114 Second St., Elyria, with the funeral service with Military Honors to follow at 4pm.

Pastor Steve Krebill of Christ Lutheran Church to officiate.
