Tom, You traveled a long and full life surrounded by loving family and the many friends you made along your life's journey. That journey is now over and you rest in that eternal place comforted by the memories of your loved ones. You were a wonderful "Pa" to Olivia and Sophia and they will miss you greatly. I'm wishing you a future without pain, and I hope all your drinks are cold, your tracks dry, and all your long shots come in winners. Rest in peace old man!

I love the times that I had with Pa. I love when I would play checkers with him. I love when we would watch Days of our Lives together when I was sick with asthma. I love when I would come home from Pre-K. He would always make my favorite sandwiches ham and cheese. I love how I have his skin and eyes. I will miss you Pa and I will always miss you. Love, Sophia

Pa, I love you very much and will always remember the wonderful memories we have made playing "Scrabble" and going to Ocean City together along with Nana and Sophia. I look forward to reading the poem I wrote for you. It encompasses how we should not be grieving, but instead be grateful that you have continued your journey home to be with the Lord. I will miss you dearly and ensure that Sophia has many memories of you in her heart. Love, Olivia

Dad, I will always treasure our time together. I so enjoyed our many visits at the hospital, talking about "Days of our Lives" and your beautiful granddaughters. I am grateful that you were so close, so I could see you almost every day. Thank-you for everything you gave me. Thank-you you for marrying Mom and accepting her little girl as your own. We always had everything we needed. I think I will frame the picture of us on the sled and put it in the living room. Thank-you for providing me a good start in life, especially for my education, which made it possible for me to provide for Olivia and Sophia. Although I didn't always follow your advice like, "Step on their toes," I am proud to be a teacher, like my Dad. Thank-you for giving me my Polish Heritage, of which I am so proud. I will strive to keep our Polish Spirit alive and continue to tell Olivia and Sophia the stories you have told me. Thank-you for taking me to the Polish Festival to get materials for my 6th grade project. I recently found it and laughed at the Polish Beer advertisement under, "Pursue Paradise in Poland." Perhaps inappropriate by today's standards, but it earned me an "A." Thank-you for teaching me to not waste food, although I didn't appreciate it at the time and for telling me repeatedly that you could buy a hot dog and a Coke for a nickel at O's games. Inflation. I will make sure you granddaughters remember and their children know Tom Borkowski. I will continue to teach Olivia and Sophia the importance of the past and the hope of the future. Kocham cie. We didn't know Tom, but if his daughter Tammy is anything like him he was truly a special human being. The world will be less because of his leaving, but it is better because of the gifts of love that Tammy, our friend, returns to it daily. We are sorry that we cannot attend the service because we will be out of town, but we are keeping you all in our prayers.

Tom was a special favorite of mine when I was at Christ Church. He reminded me so much of my own father - always pleasant, always had a little joke to share. We will all miss him!
