Thomas Bowen Obituary
STOW - Thomas R. Bowen, 77, passed away August 6, 2025.
Born in Akron, Thomas was a resident of Stow since 1950. He was the valedictorian of Stow High School’s Class of 1966 and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Akron in 1971. Thomas worked as a mechanical engineer for Parker Hannifin, (formerly Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems), retiring in 2013. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, was a jack-of-all-trades, and had been a proud member of the Akron Browns Backers. In his retirement, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Wilma Bowen, and twin brother, Timothy Bowen, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jan Bowen; sons, Jamie (Christy) Bowen and Jonathan (Megan) Bowen; grandchildren, Jason, Kevin, Zoe and brother, Jim (Joyce) Bowen.
Fr. Felix Silagan will conduct a memorial service at 2 PM, on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, where friends may call from 12 PM, until time of service.
