Thomas Clinton Branson

Thomas "Tom" Clinton Branson, 89, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away surrounded by family on December 7, 2025. Born in Richmond, Indiana on October 5, 1936. Tom was known for the love of his wife, Joan, his family and sports. Tom loved playing golf, horseshoes, billiards, bingo and throwing darts.

Tom enlisted in the Air Force where he worked as a firefighter and was a catcher for the Air Force softball team. He said his time in the Air Force was the best time of his life and it took him to England where he met and later married Joan Sylvia Drage. In true Tom fashion his proposal was simply, do you want to come back to the States with me? Joan didn't hesitate. They were married and had three daughters, Vicky, Sheryl and Elizabeth.

Tom worked as a truck driver for Commercial Motor Freight Lines. Later he moved to Bradenton, Florida only to return to Indianapolis and eventually back to Florida.

Tom is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joan; his children Vicky Branson, Sheryl Branson, Elizabeth Branson (Shrock), son in-law Robert Schrock, (granddaughter) Sophia Kirschner; and his sister, Dorothy (Ronan). He lives on in our hearts and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
