Tom Briggs, age 61, of Syracuse, Utah passed away on April 23, 2022. Thomas Elton Briggs was born in Salt Lake City on September 10, 1960, to Elton and Arlene Briggs.
Tom was raised in Davis County and was a life-long resident. Tom enjoyed all sports and especially loved playing softball. He also enjoyed hunting and big trucks. He was an avid NASCAR fan and spent many hours watching racing and sports on TV.
Tom married Lisa Smith and together they had a son, Brandon Briggs and a daughter, Tiffany Sandoz; they were later divorced. Tom married Deena Norton and they had a son, Tyler Briggs; they were later divorced. Then Tom then married Carol Denise Burden, and they brought a daughter to the marriage, Tara Briggs.
Tom was living in Syracuse at the time of his death. He is survived by his mother, Arlene Briggs of Syracuse, Utah; two brothers, Alan (Teri) of Syracuse, Utah, and Brent (Shelly) of Grace, Idaho; his wife, Denise of Syracuse, Utah; two sons, Brandon (his three kids: Kenidy, Braelynee, and Brooklyn), and Tyler (his two kids: Carter and Iridessa); two daughters, Tara (Ricky, and son, Ryker) Clayton, and Tiffany Briggs Sandoz; and his two brothers-in-law, Greg (Janet) Burden of Portland, Oregon, and Michael Burden of Syracuse, Utah.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Elton Briggs.
A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Syracuse City Cemetery, 1250 South 1000 West, Syracuse, Utah. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary.
