Thomas E. Brooks, 68, of Amsterdam, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025. Born on December 17, 1956 he was the son of the late Thomas and Lucille Fasula Brooks.

A lifelong area resident, Tom attended local schools and was employed as a machinist at Greeno Industries until his retirement.

He was predeceased by his wife of 37 years, Susan L. Brooks.

Tom enjoyed tinkering and fixing anything he could. He loved animals and his family dearly. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his partner, Rhonda Godfrey; his children, Jason Brooks (Liz Rosado), Kristyle DiMezza (Jason Carpenter), and Amanda Wright (Kobe); his four grandchildren, Kassandra, Nicholas, RJ and JR; and one great grandchild, Prestyn.

A Service of Remembrance will take place on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 7p.m. at the Rose & Hughes Funeral Home, 200 Church Street, Amsterdam, NY. Calling hours will be held prior to the service beginning at 5p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1232 NY-5s, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
