Thomas Brown Obituary
Born in Florida to the late Andrew Albert Brown and Sally Eloise (Yates) Brown, Thomas was raised in Kanawha City.
He earned his Ph.D. from Syracuse University and his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law. Following his career as a Professor of History at Kent State University, Thomas put his juris doctorate degree to good use. He became an attorney-at-law with a specialization in bankruptcy.
He greatly enjoyed classical music composed by Richard Wagner, along with traveling to Germany. Thomas was able to travel to Germany many times, often times to attend the annual Bayreuth Festival, a music festival dedicated to the works of Wagner only. In addition to classical music and travel, he had a special love for Dachshunds.
Thomas will be cremated and his ashes will be placed in the columbarium at St. John's Episcopal Church, Charleton, where he was a member.
