Thomas D. Bucher, Sr., 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 16, 2025, just two days shy of his 84th birthday. Born in Sellersville, to the late Jacob Bucher and Grace (Shisler) Kenworthy, Tom filled the lives of those around him with laughter and love.
A 1959 graduate of Souderton High School, Tom dedicated his career to being a heavy equipment operator with the International Union of Operating Engineers (IOUE). His work ethic and passion for his craft were deeply admired, but it was his love for family and the simple joys of life that truly defined him.
Tom was happily married to his wife, Donna (Barndt) Bucher, for an incredible 66 years. Their love story was one for the ages, marked by deep affection and unwavering commitment. Tom made it a priority to express his love for her every single day.
Living on a farm in Mt. Pleasant Mills, Tom developed a profound love for tractors and the simplicity of farm life, which remained close to his heart throughout his life. After spending 30 wonderful years in that environment, he and Donna found their home in Pennsburg with their son Tom and family, where they continued to create lasting memories. The warmth of family filled their home, and Tom relished every moment spent with his loved ones; especially is grandchildren.
His infectious personality, full of humor, kindness, and compassion, left an indelible impact on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his sons, Thomas Jr. and wife, Lara and Jeffery and wife, Wendy; three beloved grandchildren, Chaz Bucher and wife Kim, Allison Van Camp and husband Ben, and Derek Bucher. He is predeceased by a sister Joanne Sprincz and two brothers Steve and Jacob "Jack" Bucher.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Logan's Heroes Animal Rescue at www.lharinc.org.
