Mrs. Dorothy Lee Bucher, 90, of Quincy, IL, formerly of Camp Point, IL, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Good Samaritan Home in Quincy.
Born June 12, 1935, Kellerville, IL, Dorothy was the daughter of Herbert and June Brackett Crumley. She was united in marriage to Aubrey E. Bucher on March 12, 1954, at her parents’ home near Rushville, IL. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2023.
Dorothy devoted her life to her family and home. She was a faithful member of the Camp Point United Methodist Church, where she was active with the United Women in Faith, (formerly United Methodist Women)and cherished the fellowship of her church family. She was a longtime member of Arrowhead Golf Course in Camp Point and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.
Survivors include her children, Elden Bucher and his wife Cheryl of Quincy, Rose Mancini and her husband Don of Quincy, and Marcia Woodman and her husband David of Camp Point; her grandchildren, Wes Ferguson and his wife Amy, Wendy Kuhn and her husband Rob, Michelle Landwehr and her husband Steve, Ryan Mancini and his wife Mallory, Jessica Mancini, Sarah Worstell and her husband Nathan, Lukas Woodman, and Marcie and Brandon who always called her “grandma”; her great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kaylee, and Kameren Kuhn, Lexi Williamson and her husband Issac, Aubri Landwehr and her companion Naythen Ware, Cayleb Hawkins, Poppy, and Gio Mancini, Tyson Worstell, and Marsyn Scully, Raina Scully, Roan Passley, and Navy Passley who always called her "great grandma"; a great-great granddaughter due November 1, Callie Williamson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister, Melba Johnson and her husband Budgie, and her brother, Allen Crumley and his wife Connie.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Camp Point United Methodist Church with Rev. Sheri Renner officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Camp Point.
Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Camp Point United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Camp Point United Methodist Church or Homeward Bound Waggin.
Pallbearers will be Wes Ferguson, Ryan Mancini, Lukas Woodman, Kyle Kuhn, Kameren Kuhn, Steve Landwehr, and Rob Kuhn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cayleb Hawkins, Gio Mancini, and Tyson Worstell.
