NEWTOWN - Thomas V. Busse, age 73, passed away on January 28, 2024. He was born on May 13, 1950, to the late Vernon and Jane (nee Dorsten) Busse. Thomas was the beloved husband of Carolyn (nee Hinkle) Busse; loving father of Joe Busse and the late Christine Marie Busse; dear brother of Jill (Doug) Jennings, Joan (Mike) Buschur, Lisa (David) Crouch, and the late Bruce (surviving Annette) Busse. Thomas was also an honorary grandfather and great-grandfather. Throughout his life, Thomas devoted himself to philanthropy and community service. He served on the Greater Newtown Civic League and park board, worked with Habitat for Humanity, and hosted three foreign exchange students and several foster children and friends. Friends and family may visit on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 10AM until 12PM Catholic Prayer service at Moore Family Funeral Homes - 6708 Main Street, Newtown, Ohio 45244. Interment will follow at Batavia Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity or a charity of choice.
