Thomas N. "Moose" Carlucci, 72, of Dunmore, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2025 surrounded by love and prayer at Hospice of the Sacred Heart.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Mary T. and Leonard "Spike" Carlucci.
On August 25, 1978, he married Deborah (Buck) Carlucci, and together they celebrated 46 loving years.

A graduate of Dunmore High School, Tom excelled in football and track before enlisting in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam era. He later proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves and the Pennsylvania National Guard. He provided technical assistance in support of Operation Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom and retired from Tobyhanna Army Depot.

Tom embraced the outdoors-running marathons, swimming, skiing, walking, camping, and savoring a well-played game of bocce with a good cigar in hand. He was a proud member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Keystone UNICO and St Paul's Parish.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah; the loves of his life, children:, Michelle Cantafio (Tony), Thomas (Natalie), and Nicholas and four adored grandchildren, Anthony, Ayla, Carmen, and Louis Cantafio.

Also surviving are siblings Leonard (Mary Rose), Brenda Sabatell (Dino), Mark McDade (Michele), and Neil (Laurie); in-laws William Buck (Heidi), Donna Lisko (John), Elizabeth Rozelle, Jean Marie Rineer (Donald), and Tom Roughan; and a large, loving circle of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by siblings Marian, Joey, and Patricia; nephews Paul, Joey, and Joshua; and brothers-in-law Paul Wahlen, Carl Buck, Warren Rozelle, and Robert Hubshman.

When you next head out for an early morning run or share a joke around a campfire, tip your hat to Moose-he's probably already a mile ahead clearing the trail.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Friday, July 18th at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's Church, 1510 Penn Ave., Scranton. Family and friends may pay their respects at the church that morning from 9am until the time of service. Interment will be privately held.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart 100 William St. Dunmore, Pa 18510.

Dear Family and Friends of Tommy Carlucci,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the recent passing of your dear loved one. He was a smiling ray of bright light. I knew Tommy through his loving and caring brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Michele McDade, and Keystone Chapter of UNICO. He participated in every aspect of our chapter, especially in acknowledging our first responders.
God bless Tommy and those he left behind. RIP Tommy.
Love and peace,
Mary F Rinaldi
