Thomas Julius Carr Jr. of Joshua, TX formerly of Clarksville, TN went to Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on March 7, 2025, at the age of 63. He fought a hard battle with cancer an never once complained. He is at peace now.
Tom was born in Nashville, TN on July 10, 1961 to the late Thomas and Mary Anne Carr. Tom loved to go to yard sales and loved to collect antiques. You could always find him at estate sales looking for a good buy. He had a cat named Daisy Mae, who he adored. She would follow him everywhere and set at his feet. Tom was a Tennessee Vols football fan at heart. Tom loved going to church with his family. He was a born again Christian and a member of the Fountains Fellowship in Crowley, TX.
Tom was married to his loving wife Kandie Carr for 18 years. He loved her and loved living life with her. Tom is survived by his loving wife Kandie Carr. His stepdaughter Shannon Miller (Caleb) of Grandview, TX. His two handsome step grandsons Stetson and Weston Miller, who loved their Ta Ta very much. His sister Karen Slate of Lancaster, KY. His Nephew Jason Daily (Angie) of Clarksville, TN. His niece Mary Harris (Charlie) of Lancaster, KY. His four wonderful great nephews Dalton, Kaleb, Dayton and Joseph. His one adorable great-great nephew baby Alden.
Tom’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. His viewing is at 10:00am and the service will follow at 11:00am at Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home in Burleson, TX. Pallbearers will be members of the Fountains Fellowship. Tom will be laid to rest at Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, TX.
