Thomas "Tom" Dean Clair, 55, of Adair, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born in Wichita, Kansas, on January 11, 1968, to Allan and Joan (Banz) Clair. He married the love of his life, Kristi Jones on August 9, 1991, in Tulsa and they spent many wonderful years together. They later grew their family with two sons, Adam and Alex, and bonus son, Maurice. He spent many years dedicating his time to education and obtained an associate degree from OSU Okmulgee, as well as two bachelor's degrees in business and fine arts from the Central Methodist University. Tom dedicated the past five years working as a data technician for Google. Attending AA meetings, he recently celebrated two years of sobriety. Serving alongside his wife, he enjoyed the time he was able to spend as a Mayes County foster parent. He loved collecting and shooting guns, boating, and traveling, especially when it came to going on a cruise. He leaves behind many memories for all to cherish and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services for Tom will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 20, 2023, at the Adair United Methodist Church with Reverend Steve Bear officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Shipman's Funeral Home. To leave his family a message, please visit his Guestbook at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. He is survived by his wife Kristi Clair, of the home; sons, Adam Clair and wife Mekalah of Oklahoma City, Alex Clair of Adair, OK and bonus son, Maurice Masterson, also of Adair, OK; sister, Tamera Clair and niece Hannah Briley, of Webster Groves, Missouri; as well as several aunts, cousins, and numerous other relatives and friends.
