Thomas Clark Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home on Mar. 16, 2026.
Thomas Griswold Clark passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, after a long battle with dementia. He was born on March 14, 1942, in Niantic, Connecticut to his parents George and Kathryn Clark. Thomas was one of 6 children, sharing childhood memories with his siblings Vivian, Lenny, David, John, and Fern. Sadly, Thomas was preceded in death by his sister Vivian and brothers Lenny and David.

Thomas (Tom) had a strong work ethic even as a young boy working with his father on the family farm in Old Lyme, Connecticut which carried into his adult life. He had many occupations in his 83 years, starting in the catering business, which helped develop his love of cooking and baking; working in construction, helping to build schools and other buildings in various Connecticut cities and towns; being a pipe fitter on submarines at Electric Boat and the Naval base; and finally retired from General Electric (formerly Ionics,

Inc) in Watertown, Massachusetts. He spent 30 years with General Electric, where he was respected and revered. He started as a pipe fitter and through educating himself and promotions, became the manager of the Spare Parts Division, which had business dealings all around the world.

Tom had a strong love of family, passion for knowledge, an appreciation for the outdoors, and adoration for history. He was a member of the Watertown, MA Colonial Guard, which gave him great pride. Tom enjoyed traveling the world whether in the United States or Canada, or Europe. Tom also had an affinity for collecting coins from around the world.

Tom leaves behind a robust legacy, survived by his wife of 33 years Priscilla Clark; his four children with Dorothy Deleon (deceased), sons Joseph Clark and Gary Clark, daughter-in-law Sylvia; daughters Lois Noggle, Vicky Shore and son-in-law Chuck Shore; and daughter Jennifer Clark with Vivian Thudium; as well as stepson Drew Phillips. Also, Tom cherished his nine grandchildren and five great- grandchildren, though he did not get the chance to spend much time with them due to his illness.

Thomas (Dad) will be remembered fondly by his surviving family members and dear friends. His memory will live in our hearts forever.

Arrangements are private and under the direction of the Lynch – Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, MA 01801
