Thomas E. Cleere

Thomas E. Cleere, 72, of Rockford, formerly of Hampstead, NC, died on Friday, February 21, 2025. Born on January 17, 1953 in Russellville, AL the son of Higinio and Josephine (Cleere) Romero. Thomas married Deanah Cleere, she preceded him in death. Thomas proudly served his country in the marines as a sergeant. While in the marines he worked as a diesel mechanic specializing in repairing amphibian vehicles. He earned his rifle expert badge, National Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. Thomas was very intelligent and mechanical; he could fix anything.
Thomas is survived by his sisters, Peggy Sue Romero, Rita (Wayne) Hampton, Alice Kilgore, and Margie (Jeff) Warren; brothers, Robert (Lori) Romero, Benny (Rosa) Romero, Mike Romero; special nephew, Titus Martinez; and brother-in-law, Antonio Juarez. Thomas is predeceased by his wife, Deanah Cleere, parents; and son, Ian Cleere.
