Joyce Bellini Cleere

Joyce Bellini Cleere, aged 81, passed away on January 25, 2025, after a brief period in home hospice care in Scottsdale, Arizona. The cause of death was Acute Myeloid Leukemia, which had recurred after an initial diagnosis 18 months ago.
Born in Queens, New York, Joyce was the daughter of Alfred Bellini and Esther Troccoli. She graduated from Syosset High School and began working full-time for AMF (American Machine and Foundry) in Westbury, NY in 1960. She was married to Gerard Richard Cleere in 1965, and continued working until he completed his law degree, retiring a few months before her first daughter Eileen was born in 1967.
Joyce was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She enjoyed water aerobics, reading, traveling, scrapbooking, and cooking fabulous Italian meals. She will be remembered for being a loyal friend to many people, a great mother and grandmother, and for always finding a reason to laugh.
She is survived by her husband Gerard (Dick), her daughters Eileen Cleere of Austin, TX and Shannon Diamond of Fulton, MD, her sons-in-law, John Pipkin and Matthew Diamond, grandchildren, Max Pipkin, Elizabeth Diamond and Jake Diamond, and siblings Robert Bellini and Georgiana Bellini Mercaldi. Joyce was predeceased by her beloved older sister, Carol Bellini Sheridan.
The memorial service will be held February 7, 4-5pm, at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. The service will be livestreamed. A reception will follow on site, from 5-7pm.
