Thomas Clifford

Thomas J. Clifford, 70, died Monday December 15, 2025 at the UVM Health Network – CVPH, Plattsburgh.
He was born in Plattsburgh, December 18, 1954, the son of Donald and Helen (Connell) Clifford.
Thomas grew up in Oneonta NY, with 5 siblings. He graduated from Oneonta High School in 1973 and briefly attended State University of NY at Oneonta before moving with the family to Traverse City, MI. where he attended and graduated (A.A.S) from Northwestern Michigan University in Traverse City in 1986.
He married Ann Keller on Sept. 1, 1990 in East Lansing, MI. She predeceased him.
Tom earned an MBA from Northwood University, Midland, Michigan, 2013, and worked as a software analyst and developer for IBM and Michigan State University for many years. Fly fishing and British sports cars were his passion and his best memories were fishing with John Russell on the AuSable River and other favorite spots in Northern Michigan.
He is survived by three brothers, Stephen (Clifton Park, NY), Daniel (Georgea) of Spring, TX and Donald Jr. (Grand Rapids, MI) and two sisters, Martha (Stephen) Pedulla of Peru, NY and Sarah Clifford (Michelle Allen) of Fall River, MA.
Thomas lived for the last three years at Champlain Valley Senior Center in Willsboro, NY. The staff cared for Tom like family and we will be forever grateful for the love and caring attention that he received. Gratitude also goes to the staff of CVPH Medical Center, R3 for the compassionate care given in Tom's final days.
Honoring his wishes, services will be private.
