Thomas Michael Cooper

Thomas Michael Cooper, born January 6, 1971, passed away on May 23, 2025, at age 54. Michael was an extraordinarily talented man with a passion for music. He was self-taught on the piano, guitar, bass, & drums, and was part of several bands over the years. Michael could draw beautiful art, rebuild cars, and play great music. He had a love for both classic cars & classic rock. Michael was a life long Alabama Crimson Tide fan, Roll Tide! His hobbies included, NASCAR racing, fishing, camping, and all things outdoors.
Michael had one son, Thomas Michael Lee Cooper, of Wellborn, Alabama, one sister, Devon Ray Scroggs, of North Augusta, South Carolina, and one nephew, Cooper Scroggs, also of North Augusta, South Carolina. His life partner for the last 15 years was Judy Hughston of Oxford, Alabama.
Michael's mother, Sandra Ray, passed away in 1987, and his father, Tommy Cooper, passed away in 1988 both of Wellborn, Alabama.
Michael touched many lives over the years and will be greatly missed by all. Energy cannot be destroyed; Michael's spirit lives on."
