Thomas G. Craig ("Tom"),of Bunnell, Florida passed away Monday August 19,2024 after reaching the age of 78 years old. After weeks of failing health, he departed this life surrounded by his beloved partner Charlene Wunner, children, and family.
Tom was born on May 22,1946 in Bear-Creek, Pennsylvania to Anthony "Jack" and Irene (nee Clymo) Craig. Tom lived his rambunctious young life in Bear-Creek with his four siblings Elaine, Judy, Jack and Duane along with aunts, uncles, and cousins near by. He attended Oliver Elementary School and Coughlin High School as a young boy, and made many life long friends through his journey.
After high school, Tom kicked off his first business installing carpeting and flooring. Later, he ventured to the Keystone Job Center where he taught and shared his love for many different trades to young adults
for 25 years. He did this all while growing his family of seven children- Kimberly Ann, Renie, Dawn, Tommy, Tony, Kelly and DeeDee, producing many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Tom was known for being a "Jack-of-All-Trades", always there to lend a hand to anyone building or fixing everything. We can honestly say if you were blessed to be part of his life, you could look around your home and see his special touch and love. Aside from his ability to create and share his talents with his hands,
he enjoyed sharing his love for fishing, hunting and rides in his Jeep and with his family, friends and favorite dogs. Lucky and Lady are now on the long walk with him, and Lexi who stayed behind.
Tom was a strong willed and stubborn man at times, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge he gained through all his life experiences.
There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed our family feels towards the ICU nurses and doctors at the AdventHealth Palm Coast Hospital who made sure he was comfortable during his final days. We hope they continue bringing peace and comfort to others in need through their smiles, encouragement, and kindness.
Tom was predeceased by his parents Jack and Irene, his brothers Jack and Duane Craig, children Kimberly Ann, Anthony Craig, Renie Nielsen and grandson Scott Alexis.
He was survived by his Partner: Charlene "Cher" Wunner, his four children Dawn (Shawn) Alexis, Thomas "Tuck" (Mary Beth) Craig, Kelly (Gary) Mayhue, son in law John Nielsen, Dolores (Ricky Wells) Craig, and Scott (Donna) Kresge who he considered his son and best friend. He was also survived by his grandchildren Jenna Hillman, Breann Dutter, Shawn Alexis, Mandy Hahn, TJ Craig, Mathew Craig, Emma Craig, Tracey Leibman, and Isabelle Wells. and numerous great grandchildren.
Tom requested no public services after his passing. Family will be holding Celebration of Life Gatherings in Florida and Pennsylvania for immediate friends and family in the near future. Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service of Bunnell, FL is assisting the family with arrangements.

I'm so sorry to find and read this. Tom and I had been friends for many, many years working together at KJC, he build my front porch on my house, carpeted my house and built my cellar steps when I bought my house. He was a good friend to my late husband Tony as well. Going to the Carriage Stop in Bear Creek on Friday 's I believe for their all you can eat buffet, with crab legs and prime rib. Last time I texted with him last on 7/18, he never said he was ill, I'm so sorry he didn't share this with me. He was always saying to come visit in Florida, I'm so sorry I didn't come visit since I retired last fall, my mistake. My condolences go out to you Cheri, DeeDee, and rest of your family. I will always remember you and miss, you Tom.
