Thomas Hugh Donald Crews

Thomas Hugh Donald “Tommy” Crews, 84, of Macclenny, passed on from this life on Sunday, December 7, 2025 under the care of Haven Hospice. Tommy was a lifelong resident of Baker County, born on October 9, 1941 to Mr. Donald and Janey (Caldwell) Crews. He would work for several years for the Northeast Florida State Hospital as a property administrator until his retirement.

Tommy enjoyed spending his free time outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. He liked playing cards with family and friends, as well as watching football. Above all else, Tommy was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather and cherished memories made with family.

Mr. Crews was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves behind three children, Joy (Bruce) Ambrose and Corey (Brooke) Brooke Crews both of Macclenny and Lauren (James) Marker of Sanderson; grandchildren, Hannah (Jordan) Hall, Haley Marker, Bo Marker, Rayleigh Crews, Addison Crews, and Scarlett Marker; great grandchildren, Holden Hall and Blayne Hall; sister, Mary Lou (Daniel) Combs of Macclenny; a special friend, Sissie Crews; as well a nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Rev. Timmy Thomas officiating. The family will be receiving friends for an hour of visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
