Celebrating the Life of Thomas Crews

September 14, 1987 – February 11, 2026

Thomas Crews, age 38, of Oak Ridge, TN, passed away on February 11, 2026, following a motorcycle accident. Thomas lived life at full volume, fueled by adventure, generosity, and an unwavering love for his family.

Born in Leesburg, Florida, Thomas developed a lifelong passion for the water and the great outdoors. Whether he was skiing down a mountain, wake surfing, or out on a boat fishing, he was happiest when he was moving.

Thomas was a gregarious, high-energy soul with a huge heart; he was the first person to make sure a guest felt welcome.

Professionally, Thomas served the community as a licensed home inspector for First Choice Home Inspections in Knoxville, where his affable nature and eye for detail made him a favorite among colleagues and clients alike.

Above all his hobbies, Thomas was a family man. He was a devoted husband to Dallas and a dedicated father to Jackson. Some of his favorite moments were spent with Jackson, strapping on skates for street hockey or playing basketball with him and the neighborhood kids until the streetlights came on. He was also the undisputed "best friend" to his beloved dog, Winnifred, who held a spot in his heart unlike any other.

Thomas leaves behind a massive circle of family and friends who will miss his enormous presence:

Immediate Family: Love of his life, wife Dallas Crews; son, Jackson Gillis; and his "baby dog," Winnifred.

Parents: Mother, Susan Spickard (Randy); Father, Emmett Crews (Teresa).

Grandparents: Jim and Eleanor Burbank.

Siblings: Matthew Crews (Katie), Miranda Meyers (Josh), and Riley Cadegan.

In-Laws: Devereux and Tina Rice; Grandmother-in-law, Barbara Trent.

Extended Family: Aunt Jan Tarver (Scott); Sisters-in-law Dominique "Niki" King-Jones (Steve Jones), Amy King, and Melissa Rice (Casey Drier).

Nieces & Nephews: Dean Thomas Crews; Isla and Clara Meyers; Grace and Annabelle Jones; and Alma Drier.

Cousins: Ben and Christy Tarver; Adam and Holly Tarver.

Best Friends: Peter Karakashian, Sam Oliver, Kevin Fillers, Adam Smith, and Paul Rodarmel.

Honorable Mentions: Jay Cadegan, Tommy Kirby, Austin Jordan along with many extended family, friends and neighbors.

Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved uncle, Gordon Crews.
