LEICESTER: Thomas C. Daly, Jr., 52, of the Cherry Valley section of Leicester, died suddenly, Wednesday, Feb. 11th at his home. He leaves his wife of 15 years, Ashley M. (Leith) Daly; his sons: Thomas C. Daly, III and Colin K. Daly of Cherry Valley, his mother; Kathleen A. (Voellings) Daly of Spencer ; his brother Daniel P. Daly of Spencer along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His father Thomas C. Daly, Sr. predeceased him in 1991.
Tom was born in Worcester and raised in Leicester. He graduated from Worcester Vocational Technical High School in 1991. He was a talented tradesman working as a lineman for many years with Phoenix Communications, working as a licensed journeyman plumber for New England Plumbing Solutions and he was a member of UA Plumbers & Gasfitters Local 12 in Boston. Tom was an avid sports fan of all the New England teams and supported the Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, & Celtics attending many games. He loved muscle cars, especially taking long rides in his 2017 Dodge Challenger R/T, he was proud of his Irish heritage but most important to him was his loving family and being a dad to his two loving sons.
Tom's funeral will be held on Thursday, Feb. 19th from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St. Leicester with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1161 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
