Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. - Wausau WestThomas “Tom” E. DeLisle, 84, Mosinee, passed away on December, 27, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 3, 1941, in Wausau, he was the son of the late Glenn and Ann (Bandoch) DeLisle.
Tom attended Newman High School and went on to study to become a Certified Kitchen Designer, buying his father’s business, the DeLisle Company, after Glenn retired. For many years, he worked as a kitchen designer, remodeling countless kitchens and taking pride in his craft. Tom proudly served his country in the US Army Reserve.
He loved taking his family on adventures--camping near the Boundary Waters, trips to Hawaii, summer trips to Door County, and sailing together on Lake Du Bay, Lake Michigan and Superior. After retirement, Tom enjoyed traveling to places such as Madrid, Spain, Mazatlán, Paris and Normandy, France, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. Las Vegas was one of his favorite places to visit.
He often said he was “a lucky man” to have had the opportunity to travel, and he remained deeply grateful for all that life had given him.
Survivors include this daughters, Michelle (Ray) Lindner, Chaska, MN and Alisa DeLisle, Madison; Grandchildren, Nicholas Ray and Delaney Ann Lindner; brothers-in-law, Richard “Dick” and Nicholas Krajewski; mother of his daughters, Dianne (Krajewski) Leigh, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Glenn “Dick” (Katherine) DeLisle; brother-in-law, William “Craig” (Diana) Krajewski; and in-laws, William and Ruth Krajewski.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau. Visitation will be on Thursday May 14, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services all at the Stewart Avenue funeral home. Entombment will be in Holy Angel Mausoleum, St. Michael Cemetery Wausau.
