Thomas Dembeck Obituary
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2025, at St. Agnes Church, 22 Haigh Ave Niantic. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New London. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic. A complete obituary will appear in a later edition.

My memories of Tom are of a gentle and kind man. He gave so much in service to his community, such a good, civic minded gentleman. Ann and kids and family, we know he will be so missed and we're sad and sorry for your loss. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace, amen.
Waterford DTC

Waterford has lost a favorite son. Tommy Dembek devoted his life to serving the people, through 30 years of public service on the RTM and various committees and more than half a century as an indefatigable volunteer firefighter, chief, EMT, and founding member of the Waterford Ambulance Service. There was never any question of Tommy's passion behind his beliefs, his dedication to public safety, and his ceaseless devotion to his extended family and home away from home, the Goshen Fire Department. He will be missed, but his contributions to our town will be long remembered.
