Thomas DeMott Obituary
Thomas “Popeye” A. DeMott II, age 58 of Fulton, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at home. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas DeMott and Shirley Clew-DeMott and a brother, Harry L. Clew.
Popeye is survived by his loving fiancé, Sue Crossley; children, Thomas (Stephanie) A. Whitney and Daniel T. DeMott-Smith; siblings, Susan Cross, Charles (Paula) Clew, Tiny (Ray Allen) Whitney, Caroline (Gary) Holden, Shirley Massey, Edward (Gloria) DeMott; grandchildren, Treyvin E. Whitney and Trinity R. Whitney; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Popeye was a beloved man who dedicated his life to helping others. He had a great love for people and cherished time spent with his family. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in fishing and hunting. He was known for his strong work ethic and enjoyed the freedom of riding his motorcycle. He will be sorely missed by all who loved and knew him.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 12pm to 1pm at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, NY 13069. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm. To leave a special message for the family, please sign the guestbook.
