Obituary published on Legacy.com by Marana Mortuary & Cemetery on Feb. 5, 2026.
Thomas " Tommy" Destefano III passed away suddenly at the age of 45 on January 25 th 2026 in Tucson, Arizona.

Tommy was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on April 7 th 1980 to Thomas and Josephine DeStefano.

As a young child Tommy, his parents and little sisters Christina and Diana moved to South Plainfield, New Jersey. Tommy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Growing up he would be outside playing with his sisters, cousins and friends. Tommy enjoyed many hobbies such as drawing, painting, building, shooting, fishing, hunting and video games.

He was extremely talented in art. After high school Tommy attended DuCret School of Art. His talent in drawing was like no other. Through out Tommy's life you would always see him drawing or doodling all kinds of characters or people. Halloween was his favorite holiday. He always had the most creative costumes and always built any items that went with the costume.

His kindness towards animals throughout his life truly shined not only with the family's cats and dogs but other types of animals such as tortoises, bearded dragons and lizards. Tommy was our own "Steve Irwin" in the family. He would always visit the reptile show and several times came home with a new pet.

Tommy moved to Marana, Arizona with his family at age 32. He continued to meet everyone with a smile and continued to love life. He loved going out into the desert, riding the Polaris and exploring.

Tommy will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents Thomas and Josephine and his sisters Christina and Diana. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He is preceded by his grandparents, Thomas and Mary DeStefano, and Buster and Lucy Marziano.

Services will be held on Friday February 6 th from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Marana Mortuary at 12146 West Barnett Rd Marana, AZ 85653. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday February 7 th at 10:00am at St. Mark's Church at 2727 W. Tangerine Rd. Oro Valley, Arizona 85742
