Thomas is survived by his fiancée, Luisa Dirutigliano, and their cherished son, Luciano Drennan. His family was the center of his world, and he was very proud of his many years of serving the Department of Aviation with the City of Chicago with loyalty and pride. Thomas' legacy will live on through Luciano and the many people whose lives he touched with his generosity and humor.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Victoria Drennan, his maternal grandparents, Benedict S. and Jane Hosek, his paternal grandparents Alfred Drennan and Mary Ruth Ruoff, and his fiancée's mother, Angela Dirutigliano. Thomas is survived by his aunts and uncles Bernadette (Steve) Zeppetello, Joseph Hosek, Retired Lt. CFD Benedict J. Hosek (Hilary), Jacqueline Hosek (fiancé Greg Robertazzo), and Gina (Lou) Liguori, many cousins, his fiancée's father, Pasquale "Lillino" Dirutigliano, and her brothers Michael (Jen) and Paolo Dirutigliano.
Thomas will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A viewing will be held at St. William's Church on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. with a funeral mass immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Luisa Dirutigliano and Luciano Drennan.
