Thomas G. Ecker, 72, of Montoursville, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022 surrounded by his family at Williamsport South Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
He was born in Williamsport on July 2, 1950 to the late Dr. Herbert A. and Lucille (Trautvetter) Ecker. After high school, Thomas served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was married to the former, Suzan Whitby on June 30, 1989, and together they celebrated 33 happy years. Thomas was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Williamsport. He worked as an orthodontic lab technician, a painting contractor, and a property manager throughout his life. Thomas enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved horses and his pets.
In addition to his wife, Suzan, Thomas is survived by two stepdaughters, Holly (John) Irion and Heidi Foster, both of Montoursville; a daughter, Brooke Larson, of Lincoln, Neb.; two grandchildren, Ashton and Jillian Irion; two brothers, Dr. Robert (Jaci) Ecker, of Williamsport; and John (Luann) Ecker, of Eagles Mere; a sister, Nancy (Clair) Stiffler, of Mahaffey; a brother-in-law, Bruce Satterwaite, of Udall, Kan.; three sisters-in-law, Beth Ecker, of Williamsport; Donna Phillips, of Shreveport, La.; and Denise Ecker, of Williamsport; eight nephews, Tony, John, Chris, Adam, Eric and Sean Ecker, Tyler Satterwaite and Neil Bogacyzk; three nieces, Ashley Ecker, Abigail Satterthwaite and Amy Lehman; four great-nephews; and five great-nieces.
In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Herbert A. Ecker Jr.
A memorial service for Thomas will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 844 W. Fourth St., Williamsport with the Reverend Kenneth Wagner-Pizza officiating.
