Thomas Jack Edwards, 90, went home to the Lord on February 10, 2025. He passed away surrounded by family and friends after a life well-lived for Jesus.
Jack was born on July 31, 1934, in Vivian, Louisiana to George G. Edwards and Louise Westmoreland. He attended Bossier High School and soon thereafter, joined the U.S. Navy. Jack served four years before returning to Bossier City. Jack then went on to work for Arkla Gas, where he retired after 30 years. He was known for his joy, kindness, and faith in the Lord. Jack touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette H. Edwards; his daughter, Sharon Martin and husband, Vic; grandchildren, Dustin Martin and wife, Madonna, Christopher Martin and wife, Christy; great-grandchildren, Amelia, Lakelyn, Camden, and Caysen Martin; his brother, Billy Joe Edwards and wife, Judy; and sister, Donna Lou Ratcliff; as well as nieces and nephews and other relatives. His family will cherish his memory and carry his legacy forward.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. and Celebration of Life will be immediately following at 2:00 p.m. at Countryside Christian Church, 7149 Brossette Rd., Shreveport, with burial at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana at a later date. Officiating the service will be Brother Ted Harden.
Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit, love, and trust in the Lord will remain in our hearts forever.
Rest in peace, Pawpaw. You will be deeply missed.
