Thomas R. Eisenbart

Thomas R. Eisenbart, age 67, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023, surrounded by his family. Tom was a loving husband to Karen; devoted father to Valerie (John S. Ferrari) and Matthew; doting grandfather to Clark, Parker, and Briar; dedicated son of the late Richard and Germaine (nee Voss) Eisenbart; dear brother to Daniel, James, Robert, and Julia; caring uncle and loyal friend to many.
Tom was born in Burlington, Wisconsin and moved to the Chicago area as a boy. He earned Bachelor's (Valpo University) and Master's (Illinois Tech) degrees in Electrical Engineering. Tom enjoyed a long career at Sargent & Lundy. He mentored many young engineers and supported both domestic and international clients in the power industry. He was also a dedicated member of the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Illinois. He was often seen score keeping at competitions or handing out medals to the athletes.
Tom truly valued the importance of family. He collected historic family photos and enjoyed sharing new ones on his phone. Tom supported his family's interests and frequently attended community events, school activities, and charitable fundraisers. He took pride in the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren and ensured that he made time for his loved ones.
Family and friends will meet Friday, November 17, 2023, at Assumption Catholic Church, 323 West Illinois Street, Chicago, Illinois 60654 for a 9:30 a.m. Visitation followed by an 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass.
