Thomas W. Ellsworth

Thomas W. Ellsworth, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. He was 71 years old.

Thomas was born in Rahway, NJ to William and Francis (n. King) Ellsworth. He graduated from John F Kennedy Memorial High School in 1973. After a year of college, Thomas pursued a career as a Tractor Trailer / Truck Driver. He was an active member of St. Cecelia Church in Iselin, NJ and volunteered there in his spare time. Most of all, Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is predeceased by his parents.

Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Julia (n. Lynch) Ellsworth of Iselin; his daughter, Bridget Wertz and her husband, Christopher, of Iselin; his son, Patrick Ellsworth and his wife, Lindsey, of Colonia; his brother, Raymond Ellsworth, and his wife, Beth of Hopewell; his sister Nancy Maglione, and her husband, Michael of Iselin; his six treasured grandchildren: Cadence, Martin, Clarissa, Brendan, Owen, and Jayson; and his nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 200 Cooper Ave. Iselin, NJ 08830.

A Funeral Service will begin the next morning on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Cecelia Church in Iselin at 12:00 pm. Cremation will be held privately.
